Why does GQ want me to buy an elf suit?

Seems like for the last year or so GQ has wanted me to purchase and wear a short cropped suit with skinny lapels and highwater pants. This look is marsupialed. How long will they insist that this is men's fashion? Does anyone believe them when they say the elf look is cool? Please help.

Make sure you roll up your trousers and wear dress shoes with no socks too.

I'm getting royally sick of the layouts in GQ. I like The Style guy but he gets less and less column inches meanwhile most of what he advises is in complete contrast to what they advertise in there.

$$ from advertisers = why you are force fed certain looks. They are not going to tell their readers to stay away from the gravy trains latest fashions, and to stick to a more classic look.

GQ is about profit, like every other business out there.

Here is some help: Don't buy the suits they are pushing. And if you are tired of seeing them in GQ, then cancel your subscription. Problem solved. Seriously, this gets brought up a lot.

I agree that the advice that the style guy gives is generally pretty good.

Just ignore them and fine something sensible.
