Why do ESPN commentators look so consistently awful?

It can't be an accident, once in a while they would stumble into something that actually fit, and didn't clash horribly.

There are people who get paid to pick this shit out right?

That's funny...so true. The four button jackets that have massive shoulders.

Every jacket two sizes too big, the horribly clashing colors and patterns...

Someone should post some photos. I have had a change of heart. I am scrapping all of my suits and suiting up ESPN style!

They don't wish to project an elite image.
After all the majority of their viewers probably shop at
Macy's or Joseph A Bank for the suit or sportcoat
    they need for special occasions.

Money doesn't buy taste or knowledge even when you are able to pay someone to perform the task of choosing your wardrobe.
Why? Because most people with jobs are useless or harmful and know little or nothing about their 'craft'.

Add to that Comrade's point that you feed the idiot masses.

I have always wondered the split of the choices in terms of the commentator and the corporate stylist or management or whomever.

Akin to blaming your mother for your wanker clothes when you were a child.
At what point are the choices all your own?

Bob Costas is pretty well put together. He wears sportcoats, too.
