I've gotten more selective about purchases, too. I have several DVDs that just sit on my shelf, having never been watched once. But, at the same time, there are some old favorites that I like to have around. I might not watch them over and over, but I'll pop them in and watch a favorite scene or two. (With "Tombstone," for example, I might watch all Val Kilmer's scenes.) Or, if I'm feeling restless late at night, I might put on a favorite old TV show and fall asleep watching it. I very rarely watch a movie from beginning to end more than once every year or two, if that often. But that's about the same rate I might revisit a book, and heaven knows I have enough of those.
