Who's making good jean belts these days?

Does having finished edge (burnished) on a belt mean it's higher quality than raw unfinished edge? Is this edge finishing an indicator of the quality of the leather as well? Thanks!

Finished edges are not an indicator of the quality of leather, just the craftsmanship. Raw edges will eventually look very fuzzy. Burnishing and waxing edges generally stops this from happening depending on the treatment.

So is finished edge a must in a quality belt?

Can someone suggest a black belt that does not leave a mark on lighter clothing?

Is Unlucky (Scott) still active? Looking for one or two new belts. Very happy with the belt and wallet he made me years ago.
