Saw a few nice pairs on Ebay for less than $100. Who makes them, are they quality?

i dunno who makes them, but they don't look very comfortable or durable from what i've seen.

i fantasize of jetsetting around the world in F/W 08-09 YSL with a large entourage, private jets, a bevy of models and an endless supply of champagne though....

what style of YSL shoe do you have? I admit my exposure to the brand isn't very extensive....but a lot of the shoes i saw seem to have a very low heel (i saw a pair from current season that had no heel, just a wooden sole), was curious as to how they'd hold up. that sounds reassuring though.

do you wear YSL clothes? seems like one of the more difficult labels to pull off or mix and match.

I think the consensus we once reached when discussing it was that they were Sergio Rossi... but beyond that, I'm not sure. It would make sense, though, as Rossi is a PPR owned brand (as is YSL) and some of the marking are similar. In any case, be sure they are Rive Gauche and not some of the licensed garbage that exists out there. Often, sellers will try to be fuzzy with their honesty and say "YSL SHOES! TOM FORD" when really they are licensed shoes made for a different market that are worth no more than $25.

I have a pair of suede YSL loafers and a pair of lug sole motorcyble boots. I also bought my bf a pair of calf hair drivers.

I used to wear a lot of YSL about 3 years ago.

Are they Gucciesque or Louis Vuitton inspired?

I have seen a lot of driving shoes and loafers from LV and YSL on holidays..

Are they well-made?
