Who makes this Brioni lazy man shoe?

Trying to figure out who makes this lazy man style shoe for Brioni. It’s made Italy, probably within the past 2 years, and retail is ~$1,300.

At one point Silvano Lattanzi made shoes for Brioni, though I haven’t a clue if this applies to this particular shoe.

My best guess is Sasetti, as they seem to be makers for a wide variety of brands these days (Zegna, Tom Ford, etc...).

Which store is that shoe from? Looks great!

I think there's a misconception about MV. My understanding is that MV designed TF shoes, but that they're manufactured elsewhere.

Also, Tom Ford is licenced to Zegna Co. And since Zegna shoes are made by Sasetti, I would guess that TF ones are as well.

Is there a huge mark up on Brioni and TF shoes? Sasseti online looks at around $500-$600. They also don't look like any of the Brioni shoes I've seen. I'm not sure it's actually made by them.

Sassetti can make pretty much anything.

They have a lower range, and higher range under their own label.

I can confirm they make the following high-end shoes:

RLPL
Zegna Couture
Tom Ford (at one point anyways)

I can’t confirm Brioni. Just a guess.

assuming this is sassetti, would you say the quality and comfort are better than TLB Mallorca and Yearn Shoemaker? Those are the other ones I’m considering

The Brioni shoes I’ve handled have been constructed well, and feature finishing you would find on high-end brands (e.g. the sculpted waste, nice burnishing, etc…). And generally, they’re very nice looking shoes.

that said, TLB’s artista range would probably win on technical merit alone (they have a huge write up on the technical elements that set the Arista range apart from other high-end brands). But the styling is also more classical, whereas the Brioni shoes look a bit more fashion forward.

It really depends on what type of shoe you’re looking for. If you need staples, TLB is a great option. If you’re looking for something to supplement your already extensive collection of shoes, and you have all the staples, go for the Brioni.

On a side note, I tried on the Brioni wholecuts you included in the pics above, and they absolutely crushed my feet. It was a very tight last.

I just took a closer look at the markings on the sole of the lazyman, and it actually has the same script as shoes made by Stemar. They’re another high-end shoe maker. So it could be them.

Thanks! I’m looking for a navy/blue shoes, so definitely not a staple. Looking for something with some flash but also made of the highest quality I can afford. The Brioni is $675.
