I suppose this guy could be wrong (as could the website), but his answer seems definitive. I'll go with it until someone proves otherwise.

They are. If you go to BB's website and spring looks, 3rd one from the left in the khaki suit. If you click on that it lists what is in the look and says Duckie Brown Cordovan wing tip.

I've sold some of the Duckie Brown cordovan shoes, they don't feel quite as nice as Alden or my C&J cordovan shoes. Can't put my finger on it, but didn't feel up to the same level.

For $575 you are only a few dollars short of full price shell Aldens. A much better bet IMO. I would go for the FDBs if they were MUCH cheaper but not for only $20 less than Aldens.

I am pretty sure they sell for around $300 at places like Odin in New York. The quality of the leather does not look anywhere near the same as Alden. The last is slightly different as well.

I don't know. I am part of the school of if you want something just go with the classic source. Why are people buying Brooks Brothers longwings anyway? Just get vintage Florisheims, or Aldens.

BB didn't even spell 'Duckie' right on their site!

BB has been known to make mistakes on their website. for instance these boots are listed as "brown" but when they arrived the box said "burgundy" and C&J told me they were burgundy as well
