Who makes the best replicas? In a different thread, the discussion became whether purchasing a replica was a good idea or not. I would like to leave that issue behind. For those who are interested in a replica, perhaps develop a resource for the best sources.
I've already had a bad experience. I bought a replica Eames Executive Chair that is defective.
I'm disappointed and I'll probably wind up giving up on the Eames, and get a contermporary Steelcase Management chair.
But I love MCM design, and I think replicas are a good thing since they allow people to have the designs at affordable costs and they are legal. If others wish to purchase original designers at greatly exorbitant prices, let them go for it.
But any helpful advice for those seeking replicas?
