I'm looking for good affordable socks that will last a long time. Marcoliani is not durable. I've had them for three years and they don't look very fresh anymore. I need socks that I can wear with a suit as well as with jeans. So in black, dark blue and grey. No funny colours or logos.

No Viccel please, I don't like them, they move and displace themselves during wear because the shiny cotton is slippery and they're not comfortable because of that.

I'm also only going to wear socks that have at least 98% cotton.

    Any recommendations?

I would be ecstatic if my Marcolianis last three years.

Seriously? Are you wearing a range that contains silk or something really fragile? I have their Fil d'Ecosse socks from before they added synthetics in them I believe. They cost like 12 euros and lasted 1 year looking as good as new, started to show signs of wear during the second year and now three years after their purchase they look like I used them to strangle someone and show major signs of wear though there are not holes yet.

I'd like to find some socks that will be more durable.

The Dentist, are you buying online or in person. If the latter, state your location.
