GVH has some for less.

I don't believe so as there are some differences in the minor details. I think it's just a random no-name factory that's still chugging along somewhere in Maine.

Back in the old days there used to be quite a few in that area. Most shut down, and some where purchased by Alden and AE.

Anyone know how these fit? I'm between a 9.5 and a 10.

Ah sorry, they most have sold out. They were clearing out their RL made in USA loafers and boat shoes this last week at $85 a pair.

I believe the consensus (from past SF discussions) is that Alden has its Cape Cod line made by some third party in Maine and that Polo has these shoes made by the same folks. Paul Stuart also has their cordovan weejuns made at this factory.

Alden owns their factory where the Cape Code line is produced. They bought it back in the 90's or something I think.

i have a pair.....i really like them, in 9M

They fit a hair tighter in the width then my AE mcClains in 9D.

They fit nealy the same as my RL stantons.

I might spring for another pair as these are really my favorite shoes.

I think Cole Haan is still headquartered in Maine too. They advertised a "Made in Maine" penny loafer last summer, but I never did see one IRL.
