Who makes 36L suits?

This is more out of curiosity than anything else - technically I'm a 36L in a suit jacket - though I seem to get on OK with slim-cut 38L.

Having walked into two shops over the weekend and been told (without asking, just browsing) "we have nothing that will fit you", I'm just curious how many manufacturers offer a 36L sizing, especially at the lower end (<$1000) of the market. UK examples especially welcome, but just after an overview.

The only datapoint I have so far is Marks & Spencer - the suit I purchased was decent enough (half-canvas) but the buttoning point hadn't been moved down relative to the 36R jacket so is too high.

In my experience, Paul Stuart and Brooks Brothers have a wide range of sizes. Don't know about 36L, but worth a check.

Supposedly Hart, Schaffner, &amp; Marx makes 36L.
Most likely will have to order.

I have the same problem but have found 36R suits show up once in a while that are narrow enough and just long enough in the body with only sleeve alterations required. I have a 38&quot; chest but find almost all 38 suits are massively oversized for me with the exception of Dior Homme suits and jackets. These in a 38/48EU are pretty much spot on in terms of measurements for someone taller with a 38&quot; chest measurement (what a concept!). I would say they'd be comparable to a 36L from any other maker, if that existed. Their suits have floating canvas construction and seem to be of fairly decent quality but unfortunately the price range is high. If you get a chance at least try one on in store and keep an eye out on ebay for a decent bargain once in a blue moon.

Another option is H&amp;M, which going by measurements posted on various sales here and on ebay seem to have similar sizing to Dior Homme. Unfortunately we don't have H&amp;M stores in Australia so I've never had a chance to try one on. I definitely plan on buying a couple of their suits for daily work wear when the chance arises.

Shoulders: 16.5 front, 16.8 back
Chest: 19.5
Waist: 18
Legth: 31.1 bottom of collar, 32.5 with collar
Sleeve: 26.7

I too suffer from a dearth of suits that fit me in the 36-38 range. I am right on the border between R and L, but finding a 38L is nearly impossible and 36L's don't exist at all.

Clothing manufacturers love giant lardasses, but if you are a tall, skinny guy who wants to buy clothes that fit then forget about it.
