Allen Edmonds-owned 'Woodlore' Cedar trees are in use here too.
By The Way......
I have seen shoe trees made of other woods
Like Apple wood, etc,
Anyone have any specific experience with trees made from woods other than cedar?
Also....I will say a word about those cheapie Spring Trees
In Canada you can buy the plastic ones for $2 / pair
Why I like using them is for storage purposes.
Cedar trees for the shoes which are in seasonal rotation,
but those that are not in seasonal rotation get the plastic trees.
One reason is cost savings,
but the plastic trees actually have something to offer.
The way the spring bends, simulates a 'last' effect, raising the instep of the shoe,
thus reducing wrinkling of the leather.
Therefore, in my opinion, they can serve a purpose,
and can also be used to ship shoes.
Yeah, I used the spring ones in the hotels before and was pleasantly surprised with the results...
