So as of today, I've officially had a 4 hour commute every day to work for 2 years now.

Fifteen minute walk. Downtown Montreal. In the winter.

I used to, but decided the pay wasn't worth the lost time.

4 hours, one way? Or round trip? If the latter, than that's what I got....

I bought a house, gutted and renovated it.

then my company got bought out and my office moved.

and of course the economy took a dive.... I'd lose my shirt if I decided to trade either right now.

mine is about an hour there, hour and a half back by bus, including the walk to and from the bus stop (3/4 of a mile). used to drive but it only saves me about 10-15 minutes roundtrip. i use the time to read, sleep, plan dinner, and enjoy having someone else handle all the road rage and gas cost. that said, it's too ******* long and i'll probably start looking for work Downtown soon. The thought of a 4 hour commute makes me dizzy.

I wish public transportation were an option for me. I have no such luck. Taking the bus would triple my commute to six-hours one-way...

Four feet, from bed to desk. Via the bathroom, though, since I'm not a slob.
