It is a pretty bold. I think that if the model was smiling it would ruin the look. I am not sure that means the look is arrogant but it might be hard to pull off if you are not some Italian viscount or something.

That coat is screaming for brass or gilt buttons. That would look very admirable.

He looks like an airline attendant. I'm sure it will be easy to pull off without looking arrogant.

I like it, have and will wear it - albeit with a darker red tie (or perhaps another color, generally darker, though). One can also vary the tone of the look a lot by varying textures of blazer - for example, a small glen plaid could (I think) look rather good while also looking rather more approachable.

As a side note, if I were wearing that look specifically, I would want to do so while being sure that at no point would I need to remove my jacket - the white pants and white shirt would look entirely too much like a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, and my personal beliefs dictate that a gentleman should not look edible.

That, and I don't need to attract any more zombies or cannibals than I already do.

i don't think he'd be taking off his black blazer anytime soon, else he'd be in all white with black shoes.

I wear a navy linen db blazer and off white linen slim-fit trousers during summer. It's pretty much the same look.

It's a tough one. I don't think I could or would wear that.

now that i think about it, i think Navy with horn buttons and cream trou would look better, and a glen plaid tie with a pink overcheck.

It is what i call a " trying too hard look"..Very Ralph Lauren , preppie / public school boys with gayish overtones...
The all detached , pseudo cold beauty look is very Dior ,Ralph Lauren or also Browne ..
I personally don't like the look at all but on the right person ,at the place and moment ,why not?
It is not an original look at all and that is the problem...

^^ I can't help but think you're drawing as many of your conclusions from the chiselled and gelled style of the model as from the outfit itself, especially the statement of "all detached , pseudo cold beauty look". "Trying too hard" is a pretty precarious argument to make against a rather simplistic and not particularly bold outfit. I might have agreed if there were blazer buttons involved. There's also no attempt at originality, seeing as we're talking about avowed nostalgist Ralph Lauren here I'd wear it, but I'd rather wear a green, blue or purple tie. And I agree that the jacket should stay on at all times
