I wonder what ringring looks like....I always picture some unassuming older guy that still own his original jeans from the 50s and everything since....but he's probably some under 25 kid with far greater knowledge than most of us will ever attain. [IMG]

for that matter, I've always wondered what Kitonbrioni, RJMan, and aportnoy look like as I dont think there's ever been a picture posted by them but they always write down some good shit in the WAYW threads

I think Ringring is an older guy. He's way too level headed to be our age.

i like it the pejsek, when he posts his thrift store finds, usually with some learned background story of the item's history. also, knowing that he's finding this stuff within a few miles of my home is maddeningly tantalizing.

Portnoy has good looking feet. On second thought, maybe it's just the shoes.

I thought I felt my bunions twitching.

Ringring is more or less a mystery - despite that he claims he doesn't work in the denim industry and that he's just an armchair denim enthusiast, the amount of knowledge he has is astounding. Definitely on par with Manton's knowledge of suits.

He's kind of like a balloon that's filled with information, and us S&D people are always poking him with needles to try and get him to squirt a little.

yeah, ringring is a great guy. always well-mannered and constantly helpful.

i've never seen a rude post from him, even though i'm sure he gets barraged with annoying newbie questions.

he's a constant traveller, flying from one exotic location to the next. he's well versed in all forms of martial arts (he could have contributed a lot to our martial art discussions [IMG] ). also, he knows entirely way too much about military grade kevlar.

    also, his grammar is impeccable.

could he be a super-secret agent? [IMG]

anyways, i hope ringring will always be a mystery. if anyone finds out who he is, please DON'T ruin the mystique for the rest of us. [IMG]

btw, ddml is one of my favorite posters. he's a truly gifted writer.

    Thanks, MIZ!

I have seen ringring encourage the use of the search button, and i've definitely seen signs of peeved-ness during some of the more heated discussions of selvage denim production.

    I suspect ringx2 is human.

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. But I have to say, almost everybody brings something to the table, and that's what makes the forum what it is.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and anyone from Jersey.

I`m a huge fan of the guys like Holdfast and Soph who post pictures of their outfits everyday. I thank them (and the others like iammatt who post rare item pics) for taking the time and courage to post the pics. [IMG]

Also, viewing their pics and nit picking is one of the most entertaining parts of this forum. [IMG]

Fine, I'll play this game. My favorites are: LabelKing, Nantucket Red, RJMan, Dakota Rube, Brian SD, Get Smart.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned vc2000. All of his posts are high quality.

I also like Kronik if not only for how the style of clothes he likes contrast with his name.
