It is enough to know this much. Knowledge of denim is completely lost on me and, I suspect, many others. This is why we've never heard of him.

I'm with you. That we've never heard of the most revered denim poster is a striking reminder to me of how the two forum communities (S&D and clothing) cohabit on this site while remaining relatively insular. There are certainly some crossover posters as well as mild interaction on the other general forums (this thread being a case in point) but most of us stick to, and essentially belong to, one or the other of the communities. Sort of like the trads on ask andy.

PStoller was a very intellegent, articulate and generally gracious guy who used to post (here and I'm pretty sure at MM) on pretty much everything and pretty much all the time. Went cold turkey one day.

He was an early poster who had some interesting items of clothing as well as being knowledgeable of said brands. I think it was around the same time as Joe G. et al. Where did SGladwell go?

While I'm in full agreement with many of the names that have been mentioned in this thread already, I'd like to add Thinman, Odoreater, Von Rothbart, EL72, Whoopee and Bengal-Stripe. I always enjoy their stuff.

For my part, as a S&D guy, I just don't have enough money to hang with the boys in the main forum. I figure there's no point developing thirsts I can't afford to slake. [IMG]

    Where did SGladwell go?

He joined Amnesty International and went to document human rights abuses in Iran. [IMG]

Thanks Doc. Despite you being a 38R and 9.5, I always enjoy reading your posts and being in the company of a fellow Corneliani enthusiast.

I'll also add chorse123 and edmorel because they sell nice stuff on the B&S forum.
