Who are the best sellers on eBay?

Big fan of two things: buying clothing on eBay and classic-ish menswear (BB, Zegna, Kiton, etc).

I follow balearic1/LuxeSwap, gooseguy84/Tailored Consignment, usedthreads7/Ownly Luxury, and a few others. A guilty pleasure of mine is logging in on a Thursday evening and browsing the 500 or so new listings from balearic1/sp.

Any recommendations for similar sellers you fine folks use (or own)?

Under the radar but omranb123 is great. Great prices with brands like Isaia, Canali, Zegna and lately even Attolini.

Spoiler: it's my Ebay page. But definitely a good one

Yikes!! I worked as an employee for this consigner and they have very shady business tactics! They would go to thrift shops a town over, for people who could not afford retail prices and take all the luxury inventory for $1-$5 and resell at x1000 the original price claiming it was consigned. In my opinion, it’s profiting off of underprivileged communities and I immediately left. Do not shop here!

Which seller are you talking about?

Sorry, maybe I’ve had a bad day. It’s called Capitalism. Simple supply and demand. I applaud those that have the wherewithal to go out and find things that they can sell at a profit.

There was a guy who was probably the one reputable Hermès tie reseller there. Can’t remember the name or if he’s even around anymore.

A new poster whose first post is to disparage Luxeswap? Don’t understand your points. They don’t claim that everything is consigned. In fact they post regularly in the thrifting thread here. Second, I don’t see how this is profiting from underprivileged communities. All the items are donated. Anyone can go to the same thrift shops and buy the items before Luxeswap does.

My understanding is that Luxeswap usually doesn't mark up the prices. They list everything at a low starting price no-reserve auction ($9.99 maybe) and let the eBay market decide the value. Is this incorrect?

Good point. They start virtually everything at $9.99 with no reserve. I have seen some very unusual/rare items start at a higher price.

That's what I've seen. Even very high end items.

Regardless of my first post of not, I can speak about a business that I believe has ethical issues. But thank you for your input.

Still not sure what these “ethical issues” are. Nothing unethical about thrifting and reselling. All items are donated and the thrift shops are paid. Profit is based on what buyers are willing to pay; nobody is forcing people to bid. Not aware that any goods are misrepresented or fake. So what exactly do you mean by unethical behavior?

WOW! It's great that you can order things on eBay with confidence. I've never had any luck with that. The item I ordered might not be the right size, or it was not at all what I wanted.

You can use the chat function to communicate with the seller. Good sellers will provide detailed information to make sure it is what you want.
