It may look different in real life but it's neon green on my monitor too. Very flashy

IRL it is a kelly green. I thought a slightly brighter green would help pull up the more monotone navy-on-navy. (and then I wear a navy-based PS, go figure). I'm curious, how is a 2-tone repp tie with non-peacock colors OTT? help me rhonda...

You're thinking about this exactly wrong IMHO. Monotone dark colors and then a bright color next to them produces the "pop" of color which I find distasteful. It looks like a high school football uniform. To eliminate this, when you've got lots of dark navy, you want white and silver next to it. No bright green. No bright red. Save these colors for either when you have other bright colors to complement them, or for the privacy of your own imagination, as your conscience allows.

Purge it with fire like a retreating Soviet army.

It's a really interesting thread but ( if you'll forgive me sticking my oar in) it needs curating. Be brutal. Cut the stuff that's not up to the mark - it's your thread and yours is the only opinion as to what's good enough/useful enough to be retained.

Just my 2 bob.

Seriously. I'm about to unsubscribe.

There needs to be two threads separated out:

1) An archival-type pinned thread of just photos of good taste from both a conservative business dress and business casual perspective perhaps accompanied by an essay.

2) Another thread where people can ask, "is this in good taste?"and get responses.

gdl, bad square with the linen. It would make a nice tie but it is a bad square. rest is nice.

levoosh, that is overall pretty good but the last two squares are atrocious and the last combo is a bit too busy.
