Actually it's medium-brown birds eye. The lighting is poor.

Hmm well if the colors are that off not sure if I can really assess. Seems kinda muddy though. Also, I share Manton's disdain for 3-buttons, for reasons shown in your picture.

The jacket is not exactly CBD, but I think it's in good taste, and works well with the shirt and the tie.

The "odd" choice is the pocket square. For now, I like it, but I wanted to hear opinions.

May i suggest that photos taken in a restroom / toilet / bathroom / wash closet regardless of attire is NOT in good taste.

G, I'd agree with you 99.9% of the time on this but in Beckham's case, I think it works better with the contrast than without. I'm talking about keeping everything else exactly as is, tie, shirt color, suit etc. I do not own 1 contrast collar shirt and would not wear one but in this case, the collar adds to the outfit (and I like the collar/pocketsquare combo here :uhoh:), without it its a very drab outfit, almost monotone. With it, it adds just the bit of pop the outfit needs and doesn't look gimicky/costumey. Now, if you want to say that a different color tie and a non contrast collar shirt would be better, I won't argue but I like Beckham here, I'd say definitely good taste. He has a whole thing going on with the hair, beard and obviously his looks/physique which most people don't and it helps him pull it off. Also, the fact that everything outside of the contrast collar is very CBD makes it work for me, typically contract collar shirts, the body is some loud pattern in a wacky color.

RE: contrast collars, I think I have four, two of which were ordered that way, the others are collar replacements for older shirts. I think I last wore one four years ago to a wedding. It's my "morning shirt", pale blue pencil stripe on white ground with a white collar and self cuffs. I think it looked good with a gray suit and a wedding tie. I can't imagine wearing one for business these days. Maybe in London it's different. Interestingly, the last time I wore what counts for me as "morning rig"--gray SB with DB vest--was to a baptism and I did not reach for that shirt.
