It is least evil and most preferable however to have the forethought of buying ties that are the appropriate length.

If you just leave your jacket buttoned when you're standing, there's at least two or three inches of leeway. If you're sitting, no one will notice or care.

Come on, the tie was nowhere near the crotch... if that was the case, I would prefer the thin blade showing indeed. It just reached the bottom of the waistband when standing erect, which is a bit long IMO but nothing too excessive. It's hard to find RTW ties that are short enough when you are 5'7" and wear high rise trousers anyways...

That said, if the tie reached what it appears in the picture, or if your tie is really going down to your crotch, I do agree tucking the thin blade or even have it showing is a lesser evil...

    Yesterday, not particularly tasteless.

To the standard defense I will add that half my clothes are still in cardboard wardrobe boxes.

Yessir. That there is green. If I were having it made again, I would go for a lighter shade, but it presents in the picture generally true to life. Or, I might just not have it made... :embar:

HomerJ, with all due respect, I cannot endorse that combination.

Also: That is the least-worn shirt in my closet. By a mile.

+1. The shirt is too bright a blue and comes off as matchy with the overcheck on the suit. I'm not really sure about the suit to begin with. I don't think I like the tie generally and I definitely don't like it with the other items you're wearing.

Many of these posts should be relegated to the normal WAYWRN thread; whereas this thread should be a more curated collection, like Alfred Barnes'.
