A bit too #menswear if you ask me.
I was posting them here before there was #menswear.
Doesn't make them look less bad.
Disliking something because it's trendy is no more thoughtful than following the trend.
No arguments there, I just think they look a bit tacky. Kind of like those cheapo dress shirts with the piping on the collars and cuffs.
ZB - i actually thought the PS was this ... its a Ghanaian guy who has been making some inroads in the menswear world. I thought he had finally broken into SF ... lol.
I dig that tie, puts me in a good mood. I do like linen, wool, repp, soporific, grenadine, madder, and all the other SF-approved tie genres, but sometimes its nice to go with the type of tie that everyone else wears.
Didn't realize he's from Ghana. I think the pocket circles would be very appropriate for the peacocks. No snark.
I think I've seen those circles at Neiman Marcus. Mine is a Simmonot-Godard square. Fourth from the left in this picture:
Will used to stock them, but he doesn't seem to have them anymore.
such a good point.
Hendrix - you said it. This is as classic a tweed as you can get. It is not tailored very well and that what makes it somewhat unappealing. Also the wearer is mixing up very citi shirts and ties with this very country jacket, which will look beautiful with tattersal shirts and madder or royal poplin ties
I like the hank and I like the fold you use.
Pocket circles are not in good taste.
