Patrick -- I love this "tall" collar. What is the correct language to use in describing this, i.e., How would you order it?

That looks very nice but I personally have an aversion to pale pink shirts. I know there's nothing wrong with them, but I don't really like them. Prefer the functional-pink of a pale red uni stripe.

Is it a picture or these lapels about to touch shoulder seams, proportion seems odd to me (perhaps these lapels call for lower gorge)? Also, why is the chest so roomy that it kind of bubbles and covers your sleeves? Perhaps it's a picture or your posture.

I really like the double breasted suit David, who made it?

Also, that pic of you and your daughter at Blue Hill is an awesome picture.

I've spoilered Manton's post because it has been requested that we not repeat images. In the same spirit, I've also spoilered a combination I wore and posted earlier. The colors in my combination are very close to Manton's, but the effect is quite different. Discuss if you wish. "That is nauseating" counts as discussion, I suppose.

well, since you asked... :) oldog, I like many of your combos, but that one seems disjointed. like each element is going in a different direction. kind of like The Who where each player is trying to be the lead soloist, but somehow this song is not really gelling for me.

p.s. also, is that a solid satin tie?

It's a rep; the fine twill got lost in the photo.

How is that color combination close to Manton's? Only in that the outfits have "reds, blues, and greys." And "a yellow." Based on that kind of verbal description, they are similar. But they aren't similar. Oldog, all of the colors in your outfit are heavy and oversaturated - and there's too many of them. They don't go very well with your dark grey suit. Might work with a blue suit (perhaps more blue than navy) - but that would just be pushing it even further.

I remember somebody saying something negative in the old CBD thread (I think Manton to Trini) about herringbone socks with a pinstripe suit. Really? I have done it and I think it is one of the only really acceptable cases at the feet that is at the borderline of "good taste".
