District Check gentlemen, not gun club.

Tie is grey cashmere houndstooth, not similar in scale or color.

what exactly is the dif between district check and GC? is it that the DC is just a single color check with another color overcheck and GC is a multi-color shepherds check with an overcheck?

maybe the pic mislead me regarding scale similarity, oops.

I always thought what we called gun club was a type of district check, but what do I know.

Regardless, that is a beautiful fabric :inlove:

distric check on left, gun club on right

besides the DC being larger in scale (GC's can obviously be larger in scale), it has a pronounced windowpane in one color and the base checks/boxes whatever you want to call them are a single color.

edmorel, there's some weird stuff going on around the midsection. Plus, cannot abide the tie-below-the-button show. And the sleeves seem kind of, um, generous. But that's fit, and that's kinda outside the scope of this here thread. So, I think the gray of the trousers is too cool for the jacket (at least in these pics). The Dinkelackers look pretty reasonable here, though; much better than in the shoe Appreciation pics you posted earlier.

Those are all really nice fabrics, Ed. Esp the trousers in that semi-up-close shot.
