    Beautiful tie- great texture and character. I have one just like it, but a little narrower, and I love to wear it with a fawn shirt and other tans/browns, but would feel a little uncomfortable wearing it so close to blue. Whenever I'm tempted I hear that rhyme 'Red and green should not be seen except upon an Irish queen. Blue and green should never be seen, unless there's a colour in between'.... along with a few other lesser known sartorial bon mots I've picked up reading the thread:

    'Shirt and square should never pair,
    white and white just never looks rite' and


    'Burgundy, carmine, claret and browns-
    but a tie that's red was made for clowns.' [​IMG]
