MTM, I don't really go for slip-ons, but those you posted with the boots test my resolve.

    Yup. I've already found several:

Now, granted, the Drake's ties do look great and there are several I wouldn't mind owning but once you get into the 9cm/longer area the range gets thinner and the price goes higher. I can't justify $150 for a disposable item but to each his own.

Disposable? I have ties more than ten years old. What are you doing with these things, man?

Agreed. I plan on having my ties around for a while.

those are actually pretty nice, NORE, but i too, keep ties for years and years.

i have some that i only stopped wearing when they got so old that the silk wore through in the spot where i had tied a knot for 15 years. that was before i had a lot of ties, and was wearing the same one almost every weekend for shabbos.

Disposable meaning they can go at any time due to a stain, etc.

Bonus bigbbris story: When I was dating my wife, we were in Bryant Park once lunching when a bird crapped on her. I went to the fountain, took off my tie, wet it and cleaned the bird crap off of her. Then I tossed the tie. It was disposable. Granted, iGents now probably carry a hanky in addition to a pocket square and probably paper towels and moist towelettes in their man purses. I do none of this. If my wife sneezes, I offer her my square, no matter which one it is.

Also, who spends that much on a piece of silk/wool/cashmere/etc? "Not I", said the squirrel.
