You should have worn a different color beard. That looks too matchy.

 sorry about that, but it is not removable. ill see what i can do with dyes, in the future.

stitch - today is harmonious and in good taste. Yesterday was neither.

I think it would look fine with a white shirt too, but this one is blue with a dobby weave (not Manton approved)

That tie is magical. Even more so when you scroll up and down fast.

Gents- I hope you don't mind if I ask this here but I need a good opinion within the next 2 hours from people with good taste.

I have a brooks brothers corporate discount for today only and I'm picking up a suit. The problem is the only double vent suits they have are regent fit which have low armholes. The fitzgeralds fit better but are single vent. Are single vents not worth getting/in poor taste? Would I end up regretting the decision? Thanks!

I personally wouldn't get a single vented suit. I think they look bad and feel awkward, many times they have problems staying shut properly in RTW. Have you tried the Milano?

i would say no. you started this discussion a few days ago iirc, and i think from my pov, the consensus was that it has a lot to do with personal taste, and that it is not by definition in bad taste. certainly not for an american suit.

good luck, and happy shopping.

I stopped in the columbus circle location earlier and tried one Milano but my chest was causing tugging. I'm visiting another location in a bit so I'll look around and try some more out. Thanks for the advice, PB! I figured I'd regret a single vent. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I've never understood the emphasis on vents here. Unless your ass is as big as a house I don't see how it could be an issue. Come to think of it, if your ass is as big as a house, it won't matter how many vents you have.

It doesn't matter in a robopose frontal pic, but clothing is 3D - from the side and in movement, a well-fitting side-vented jacket looks much better than a single-vented one. Add to the mix a hand in pocket and it's not even a fair comparison - the center-vented coat looks like a hot mess.

Looks nice, good luck! Make sure you don't ruin it with that short overcoat of yours.
