That looks pretty darn good to me, though I'm not a fan of such a small scale houndstooth on jackets. The color combo is very pleasing, plus that SC seems to fit really well in the shoulders. Mind if I ask who makes that tie?

thanks! i was surprised that i like it, i just could not imagine this with a blue shirt. but now that i see it, i like it.

ill post a full fit pic in WAYWRN a little later and you can decide on the fit of the SC besides the shoulders, which i think is the best fitting part of this SC.

tie is borrelli, might be my favorite tie at present. :)

stitches - looks good (even if I'm personally not in love with the coat cloth, and I would have preferred a light blue oxford with that get-up - but at this point, they're nuances and preferences...).

I think you got it now - you understand what colors go with which, how to keep outfits tasteful, etc... Training wheels are off, you know what you're doing ! :)

Just curious, who makes that SC? I like the fabric quite a lot, great color combos by the way!

I'm always amazed how many other Sci-Fi fans post here; is it mere coincidence that StyleForum shares the same "SF" abbreviation...? [IMG] [IMG]

I can't wait to see what Disney come up with for the new Star Wars movies.

Back to clothes, if I must, for one of my rare entries into this thread...

OK, more of a question than a fit pic--feel free to tell me this is the wrong place for this.

I am looking for another sportcoat to wear to work. I rarely have opportunity to wear a suit, but I do like to dress it up a bit, and have been wearing more sportcoats. I have been debating what color/pattern to look for for my next coat. I work in a fairly conservative environment (but nothing crazy), and would, hence my posting here, like this coat to be in Good Taste.

I currently have a solid navy, a brown herringbone tweed, and a tan/brown PoW check with light blue overcheck. Suggestions for coat number 4?

Please help me, oh tasteful ones!

The navy is a lightweight hopsack with patch pockets and metal (silver colored) buttons.

IMO, that shirt just shouldn't be paired with any type of sportcoat. More under a sweater or casual with the sleeves rolled up if at all.

HF - I think your tie and pocket square are at war with each other here.

i would try then a more formal navy SC, like i am wearing today. :)

edmorel told me the same when i bought it. i think its correct. i was gonna throw a navy v-neck merino sweater on, but decided to try the SC.

    thanks!

Stitchy, for whatever reason (maybe I got too much sleep last night and I'm in an uncommonly good mood) I don't hate it. So, there's that.
