Cool. It looks heavier. Sharskin worsted or basically a heavy hopsack?

I guess it doesn't come through well on the picture but it's a birdseye fabric

Doh! Birdseye is what I meant to say instead of sharksin. Too much wine this weekend.

(anyone who knows/owns that square knows that it's not that shade of orange but a darker, earthier rust)

Good old Holliday & Brown. Does this brand still exist?

I think so, though last I saw any, they were made in Italy rather than the UK. In any event, I have never seen any wovens like yours, only prints. Yours is excellent and it is nice to see someone post the occasional nice-looking divergence from the new orthodoxy.

sidebar - for those interested. this is what the scale looks like more correctly irl.

Please excuse the jacket sleeve bulge. Shirt sleeve was rolled underneath.

stitches, in my very humble opinion, your shirt/tie combo would have been awesome with a navy suit, either solid or with a big pattern (subtle POW, spaced pinstripe...)

Great jacket, though I'd prefer a more definite 3-roll-2 or 2 button version. Just my preference.

Thanks - it's definitely a roll-2, just the way I have my arm raised to hold the phone/camera makes it looks like the roll is higher than it is.

I agree - great tie :slayer: . I think H&B were bought by some Italian company a few years back. I think they still produce ties under that brand name. Used to be one of my favourite tie makers..
