    thanks, shugah!!

even though the jacket overall looks gray, i just cant wrap my head around wearing a blue shirt with all the thick black pattern in this SC. i think it would be bad. it was hard enough to do the dark navy tie. i think ill try white OCBD next week with the SC.

question is, would a black grenadine be to formal to wear with this SC and an OCBD? how about a flat black silk with white polka dots? i really wanna get a blk/wht glen plain in a smaller pattern to try with this very large POW. ideas and thoughts?

hahaha, i was just talking about the tie and SC, that was your idea. what color shirt would you wear, and if you say blue, what shade and solid or pattern? please also address my concern in my pervious post about wearing blue with this SC.

For the record, Stitchy, I don' t have a problem with that shirt, just think that a light blue would be better. Or, the black grenadine instead of the blue and keep the white shirt.

thanks, bud. do you think that a black grenadine with a white OCBD are acceptable together?

Sure, why not? Maybe a little severe, but that's okay sometimes.

While this works, I think the tie is too close in color with the stripes on the suit.

    noted.

thanks, pB. i end up picking ties that match the stripe in the suit, because i dont know what others colors to wear with this suit. i actually like it when the tie matches these stripes. forgive me.

Beautiful suit, taking delivery of this fabric soon, thinking patch pocket blazer suit, should I stick with flap?

Mine that was posted earlier in the thread has flaps and a ticket pocket. I personally think that's the way to go, but that's just me.

The fabric is really great. Not too heavy and wonderful color. A bit darker than what is seen in Gazman's in real life.

^ I think that cloth looks great as a suit and imagine it wouldn't see a lot of wear as a SC, so unless you'd want to 'casual the suit up' with patch pockets I'd go with flaps (but no ticket for me, just personal preference).

    Interested to hear differing opinions...
