I have never tried on White's Boots so bear with me. I am normally an 11D but am confused, for some have told me they are pretty much true to size and others have said to size down 1/2 size. Do you feel that ordering the same size boot I normally wear would be wrong for these shoes? Thanks a lot ...

It really depends how you're going to wear them. If you going to wear them with thick wool socks and an insole, I'd go TTS. If you're going to wear them with thinner socks and no insole, I'd go .5 size down. Either way will work. Getting your normal size boot will work fine.
