Every time I find the perfect white vneck t shirt, the company stops making it after a few months. What i am looking for is a slim fitting one that is not long, and goes only a touch below the belt, two inches at most. I am 5'6", so this is difficult to find. Does anybody have any suggestions?

In theory you can shorten the shirts fairly easily. I don't know what a professional would charge, but I would guess maybe only a couple of dollars or so each shirt, if you took it to a low-end dry cleaner/laundry place that does alterations. Or, if you or someone you know is handy with sewing, shortening a t-shirt shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

I suggest that when you find one you like, buy many.

I like the Hanes "no bacon neck" tees. They're pretty good.

They're more of an undershirt but you can pull them off solo.

my problem is that im 5'6" and 120 pounds. Im skinny, so hanes never fits me. small is like down to the bottom of my pockets even sometimes. I used to get uniqlo t shirts and just putting them in the laundry was enough, but now that theyre 25% poly, they don't really shrink, and then tend to melt if i put them in the drier.

T shirts and me have always been difficult. I only like thick cotton shirts. Hanes used to do them in the thickness I liked, and then f**king stopped making them. I now have to spend close to $35 a T Shirt buying Kangol ones, the only brand that I found that has that desired thickness. Tradeoff is I have to put up with that silly kangaroo logo

Try these ones from Sunspel. I have one in Navy and it's just the length you describe (I'm 5'8"), and slim but not tight. If you sign up for the newsletter, they'll let you know when there's a sale and you can usually get them for 25-50% off.
