Anyone here ever wear a white suit?

I have a white dupioni silk suit I wear occasionally in the summer.

I've not ever seen anyone else wear a white suit in real life, and I was wondering if anyone on the forum ever wears a white suit.

Cream linen sportcoats are my limit, I'm afraid.

Off white and cream is the furthest I've gone with suits. I have done white linen sport coat.

I guess my suit isn't quite Colonel Sanders white, it's bone white, but still white, not cream.

I only did so once, for my sister's wedding, which was on the beach in Hawaii. It was fun to wear for that type of setting; but I couldn't see myself wearing one in any of the other situations to which I've worn suits. I'd be too self conscious.

I have one in a 1980s cut. I bought it used from a charity shop for a 1980s themed fancy dress party. I wore it with a round neck T shirt, sun glasses and rolled the sleeves up. I went has Sonny Crockett

This picture of Lapo Elkann illustrates how "regular" white can sometimes take on an icy, almost fluorescent sheen, making the wearer look waxen. I much prefer cream/off-white/ivory.

No go for me - draws a little too much attention / is too hard to keep clean

White suits are an interesting concept fro summer but not very practical. Go with cream linen.
