White party

A friend of mine is going to throw and white party. What is the appropriate dress for such an occassion (other than the obvious white colour, lol)? Also what goes on at these things?

It depends. Last one I went to was more of a gay meet-and-greet than its facade purpose.

I went to one once in the summer, uptown in Harlem, and it was primarily white wifebeaters and matching doo-rags and air force ones. Basically, I think it depends on the guestlist. That being said, there were also plenty of invitees that arrived sans whitewear. They were allowed in to the party.

Arent they sort of over? I dont think Sean "Honey" Combs has thrown one in years.

I'd avoid such a party at all costs. Nothing good can come out of a man dressed in all white.

The only time I hear of this is when Persians in LA/the Valley throw them. And if i didn't know a handful of nice ones, I'd have nothing good to say about them.
