Silk, matte regular tie...I wanted to wear a bow tie but she is really against it for some reason.

I assume tv fold? I can't imagine silk doing a good tv fold, so linen?

i really don't want to and think that once i have it tailored and she sees it on me it will be apparent that a bow tie is necessary.

White linen square, folded, or cream silk square, poofed. My personal opinion is that white silk is disgusting.
