I personally think that they should not be worn at all, but that is my prejudice.

If you don't have the neck to wear a high contrast collar, I say stay away. Those low things are wimpy.

Are the shirts by RLPL typically this slim fitting or do these models have the shirts pin back tight against their bodies?

I think the shirt material looks real nice with the white collar. Too bad the shirts don't actually fit like that.

Though I usually prefer contrast collars to be accompanied by contrast French cuffs as well.

I agree with the contrasting french cuffs. I think these suits work best with a dark dressy suit, but they can work with a navy blazer and dress slacks as well.

I think that combo on the page is awful.

I have that same shirt, but in solid pink rather than white-on-blue stripes. Sadly, it is not nearly as fitted on me - it's definitely pinned in the picture.

I like Rl's stuff, but that tight shirt coupled with those pleated pants make him look like a bowling pin. I usually see the collar in business environment, or maybe I'm just with the wrong crowd.

Are you sure that's not a pleated skirt?

I usually like to have worn collars/cuffs replaced at least once so that's how I've ended up with all of my contrasting collar/cuff shirts. Occasionally the original material will no longer be available making white the only option. Seems to happen most often with T&A. They're nice for a change of pace.

That's a great look tomasso--A look that I favor---its not over-the-top, yet it speaks of seriousness, not foppishness.
