So I have a final project for my sociology class where my prof wants us to take pictures of "white" clothing, an object representing high culture, an object representing low culture, and unisex toiletry.

Then he wants us to analyze them.

So I was wondering what immediately comes to mind of SFers.

Any thoughts?

For "white" clothing, I thought about ralph lauren or american apparel.
Unisex toiletry --> possibly sunblock? chapstick?
high culture --> wine?
low culture --> chinese take out?

I'm not too sure. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

Is this what you do in university in the US?

Chinese food is not "low culture". Does culture = food to you? Why are you bashing China's culinary heritage of mini hot-dogs in sweet and sour sauce?

Whoops. My bad, that's not how I meant it.

What I meant was chinese take-out. And I meant low-culture as in popular culture. Stuff that's overdone and EVERYBODY partakes in.

I have nothing against chinese food.

White clothing - men's cargo shorts and flip flops or golf shirt and khakis.

High culture - A copy of the New Yorker or Smithsonian Magazine

Low culture - Your nearest Wal-Mart store

Unisex toiletry - toothpaste

Do you have to physically take the photos, or just find them online?

Anyway:

Yeah I know but that wasn't what the OP was asking about.

It's a sociology class. What do you expect? It gets my vote for one of the most useless disciplines ever. My physics prof used to make fun of sociologists and great fun was had by all.
