Which way do you put your belt on? Clockwise or counterclockwise?

I was just wondering which way you guys put your belt on:
  • Clockwise (when looking down, it would go through the right side first)
  • Counter-clockwise (when looking down, it would go through the left side first)

I once read that this varied for men and women, and that men generally wore them counter-clockwise while women wore them clockwise. However, this statement was on Wikipedia, and has since been removed from the article, so I don't know how accurate it was. Which way do you think is the way that men should wear their belt, or does it not matter?

Counter.

I also tend to put my belt through the loops before putting the pants on.

I'm surprised that no one on this forum has set up a poll asking members which way they dress

I think normally is counter.
But I do it clockwise most of the time, since my england scout uniform belt can't go otherwise (the loops not big enough). I used to it since I was a kid.

Thanks for the responses! I guess I'll stick to counter-clockwise then!
