I would try to find a pair of Tod's gommini loafers. they are much younger looking and are very comfortable. You can go to the Neiman Marcus site and look at a pair.

I have driving mocs and something like these, only with full leather soles (the only knobs are on the back of the shoe.) I like them both, though I find the driving mocs are not versatile. You can't really wear that causally out of the house (at least I can't - it looks like I'm wearing slippers.)

Just so you know, I have found that Tods run really large. I wear a 42 euro, which is typically a 8.5 US (8 UK). In some athletic shoes I'm around a 9.5 or 10 US. I find Tods 7 fit me perfectly.

And since you're asking, I think both are pretty unattractive but the second one is the less bad of the two.

I like the first pair better--the lighter colored ones.

I prefer the second- the darker one because I believe it will be more versatile than the lighter as the darker will approximate the tone of more trousers.

If you're buying Tods, highly recommend getting them with the "knobbies" on them (especially cool on the heel). They are based on driving shoes, so it's maybe more functional-- but also, i think it's more the signature Tods look.
