Got a job interview next week and I'm pretty a big newb when it comes to style..which looks better..do the patterns/colors match? With or without sweater? I know the tie is a little too long, will fix it..right to the top of my belt correct?

Without the sweater. Otherwise the color combo is fine.

Heh ya was just making sure it was okay before I decide to keep the purchase...

I thought the sweater looked alright? Never? Or just not for this interview?

The sweater looks good but is too informal for your interview

Better without the sweater.

Work on the tie knot. you just need practice.

Good luck on the interview.

Solid white / solid light blue are always better go to options than patterned shirts. I'd say that tie is probably fine. Try with light blue/white shirt if the suit is gray (hard to tell in the pics) and white with any other color suit. Think politician type ensemble - with one patterned article between the shirt/suit/tie rather than all solids as a candidate for president would wear. Two is stretching it.

No sweater, as has been mentioned. Definitely too informal on any interview.

Something odd about the fit of the jacket... can't put my finger on it. High button stance or short jacket? Could you put up a pic with it buttoned? But honestly, no one but people on here would ding you for it... although better fit can only improve your impression.

I think the fit of your pants is a little tight, but again - nitpicking.

May I ask what shoes you're wearing?
