Assuming the one on the right does not come with the plaid blue/white collar shirt on the inside.

How loud do you want your outfit to be?

The one on the left is a much bolder piece and would dominate. The one on the right would be more subtle and could be worn as a complimenting piece as well as the primary focus an outfit.

If you have a bunch of sweaters and want one that screams at people for occasional wear, pick #1. If you don't have a lot of sweaters and want something you can throw on with a bunch of outfits, #2.

Interesting perspective cptjeff. I don't have a lot of sweaters, and what you said does make sense in regards to the 2nd one not being too loud/being able to pair it with a larger variety of outfits.

I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Also my apologies if this thread was posted in the wrong section.

Seconding what cptjeff said. #1 is far too flashy for me, with #2 having more optimal pattern arrangements. Also, I like the cable knitting of the second sweater.
