Which shoes to wear with brown suit?

Hi all...I recently picked up my first brown suit, and I'm trying to decide which color shoes I can wear with it. Obviously I can't wear the same shade brown as the suit, that would look weird. Can you wear black shoes with a brown suit, or would it be better to wear something in a walnut or cognac color? Here's an example of a brown color that's very similar to the suit I have. Any input is appreciated, thanks! EDIT - pics added of possible combos. I'm thinking of going with the Strands in the first pic, they seem to have the best contrast with the brown color of the suit.

I wore a slightly darker brown suit yesterday with a white shirt, charcoal cashmere tie and black belt and shoes. I thought it worked really well. I have also worn it with burgundy calf belt and shoes but didn't like it as much.

Burgundy or a darker brown in the winter if you live in a four-season climate. I do not see why a lighter brown wouldn't work in Spring and Summer.

Since navy suits go with brown shoes, how about navy shoes with a brown suit?

I would like to see someone pull that off.

Thanks for the input everyone! Unfortunately, my shoe collection is still pretty minimal, so I don't have any burgundy or olive shoes I can try out. My suit actually looks slightly darker in person than the swatch I provided, so I think I will try out a couple black or tan/lighter brown shoes to see what it looks like, and I'll make my decision from there. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

I believe Reagan wore black shoes with his brown suits. It looks much better than you might imagine.
