  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Which ready-to-wear suit brands are fully-canvassed and non-fused in 2024?

For higher-end RTW you could look to RL Purple Label, Paul Stuart, Zegna, Canali, and Isaia (or Kiton if you really want to blow some cash).

For mid-range (the sweet spot) there's Sid Mashburn, Sartoria Carrara, Buck Mason, and Cavour.

For intro-level there's eHaberdasher's Benjamin Sartorial line, and Suit Supply and Spier & Mackay both have some full canvas options.

Full canvas =/= non-fused
This is true. I've seen some suits with full canvassing that are also having fusing, which is disappointing. Though some fusing makes sense in certain stress areas, having it universally in the front or at the chest is disappointing.

Ring Jacket is now shipping internationally. Living in The States, to me The Armory's suit offerings from RJ are the best high quality, high value tailored garment that can be had domestically RTW.

Samuelsohn are fully canvassed jackets regardless of season. Some brands don't fully canvass summer jacketing. I don't know about fusing. I can also name Canali, for full canvas but again don't know about fusing.

Wait -- what makes Buck Mason "Mid-range"? I am surprised to even see that when we're putting Benjamin/eHaberdasher, Suit Supply, and Spier at "Intro-level"

Buck Mason has a tailoring line collaboration with J.Mueser that seems to have a higher level of hand work at a price point a little under $2k, which I would put in the mid-range of fully canvassed RTW.
