Everything about your TV in the background could be analyzed by therapists for weeks

Out of those, #1. The shirt you're wearing in the second set screams, 'I only get out during New Years!!'

Why does it all look like its been in Bigfoot's underwear during a hot trek through the woods? #1 if you had to wear something from those photos.

I'd say #2. The low-fronted waist-coat looks terrible without a jacket, and looks even worse with a long tie. Your tie-knots are also awful so the ascot seems to avoid that at least...

Do you have a jacket you could wear instead of the vest?

Sorry, I was too busy checking out the TARDIS in the background...

#1 is a big no-no.. the long tie looks out of place (to say the least) with that vest.

My vote, #2. Or even #3.. but #2 is better, reason being, the dark vest looks better to me then the gray one, with the rest of the outfit.

Props for wearing an Ascot!

I thought SF agrees New Year's is always velvet (micro-suede?) jacket. I have one and plan to wear it. Hope that's okay. Not sure what shirt and possibly tie though.

To the OP... the knot you make in the first picture needs a 3.25" tie or close to that size. Not a super skinny tie.

To me the super skinny tie is an ironic streetwear style. "Hey, I'm like corporate or something", while wearing blue jeans.

All of the combinations are weird. It's as if there was a plane crash and various mismatching articles of clothing were scrounged from the wreckage and put together.
