i'm working at a hedge fund this summer and can wear jeans that are very plain, like earnest sewn, etc. i can also wear mocs, not driving mocs, and loafers. so these are for work and casual use. i repeat, casual. no socks.

Wait... they don't seem exactly comparable. The first pair are much dressier than the second pair (which seem like driving shoes except for the lack of studded soles)

The first. They look better, and if you wear them out they can be re-soled more easily.
