Hopefully this is the right section.. I just had a bunch of Patrick Bateman's rip me in the other section.

My style is based on a rock-star/hippy/surf/stoner image, so I'm looking at buying some rings and other accessories to help affirm the style, and give me options for peacocking. I've got a bunch of pics for stuff I feel could work, and it would be awesome if you guys could say which items you think work best with the style I'm trying to achieve. I'm looking for two/three rings, a couple necklaces/pendants, and a couple cuff/bracelets of some sort.

Jesus christ.

If you want to dress like a peacock, I suggest finding a good transvestite forum and going from there. Nothing stands out like an adam's apple on a chick.

If you're looking to ape someone else's look, maybe you should actually be one of those guys and figure out why they dress the way they do and how they put it together.

But, since you asked, all those rings and accessories are hideous. I imagine you're also wearing an Affliction T-Shirt, a pair of True Religion jeans with some obnoxious embroidered pocket, and a pair of Marc(k) Nason boots. Is your hair, perchance, cut into a faux hawk? Do you hang out at the Saddle Ranch with the other douchebags?

Dude, no. Just no.

If you want some "peacocking" accessories, get them were "mystery" gets them: The 50 cent vending machine. They're disposable and do just as well.

EDIT: Okay, that post was pretty mean-spirited. The question that I have to ask is: Why do you wish to wear gaudy accessories? If they don't have any meaning to you, then why wear them? Let's take your items:
The first ring has 3 skulls. What do those 3 skulls mean to you? A friend of mine has 7 skulls tattooed on his arm. Why? They cover up his ex-wife's name, one for each year of their marriage. See? What about the Che pendant? Do you like Che? Are you even familiar with his politics, his philosophy, and/or his life? Or are you just wanting to wear something somewhat trendy to prove that you're more than just a pretty face or whatever? BTW, the Che trend is dead. I'm sure you can find a new one from the Shepherd Fairley website. I dig his stuff and I like his style, but that's another topic altogether. Why a rose ring? Why any of those? I'm serious with the vending machine. Or go get some stuff from the skee-ball lanes. Whatever. I know what you're going for, and frankly, since I suspect there's no meaning behind any of this for you, it'll be more intellectually honest (and fun, btw) to just get some goofy plastic bullshit that you can give away while you're running routines on some drunk chick in a bar.

you should wear them all at the same time. but i'd recommend getting 2 more rings. you have 8 rings but another 2 for your thumbs would be ideal. otherwise you'd look like a tool.

Can we see a picture of your "rock-star/hippy/surf/stoner" look too? I agree with charlie, all that **** is just gaudy and meaningless. Personally, I don't wear accessories but I know plenty of people who do. It can look good if its not a gaudy bauble, which everything you posted is.

Haha, you sound like you got problems.. you are incredibly pompous, pretencious and condescending. Yes, I do support the Cuban Revolution, and although Che was brutal in some aspects, his actions liberated a lot of people and still do today. I know that the whole Che thing has become heavily marketed, but I feel that it is a good thing as it allows for more people to actually learn his philosophy and who he was, rather than the only brutal representation we gain of the man from our governments perspective.

I agree that you shouldn't wear things that aren't congruent with your own beliefs, personality etc. which is why some of the items have been specifically chosen.. The skulls are a memento mori, the celtic jewelery relates to my ancestry etc. others I just like the look of (e.g rose ring) ? Is that a problem?? I'm pretty sure you didn't buy every item in your wardrobe because it has some strict sentimental value attached to it.. in fact, you probably buy things with the contrived intention of not making yourself stand out, which is equally as try-hard.

By the way, go *************.

You're the one looking for advice. If you can't take it, then maybe another forum would be more to your needs. More to the point: If you're truly looking for something "congruent", then you don't need my or anyone else's opinion. Accessories should mean something to you, even if it is just "fun" stuff. You're looking for validation, and having failed to achieve it, are lashing out in a childish manner. Your OP reads, to me, as follows: HAY GUYS! I READ IN THE GAME THAT U NEED TO WEAR STUFF THAT MAKES CHICKS LIKE U WHAT DO U THINK CUZ I THINK GIRLZ LIKE ROCKSTARS AND I WANNA LOOK JUST LIKE THEM CUZ I NEED TO GET SOME GIRLZ!! DO THESE MAKE ME LOOK BADASS? MAN I LOVE THE ULIMATE FIGHTING!

Did it occur to you to think that maybe the reason you're being given a hard time about this is that you did not at all bother to get a sense of the forum zeitgeist before posting?

Look, I totally understand, you discover the magician and assume that "peacocking" is the only form of "style" that exists and that therefore this forum must be about that. But you should really lurk moar... it'll become quickly apparent that this is NOT the place to ask about skull rings.

++ And kinowear is a really good site for the OP's goals.

And you thought the guy's in the Men's Clothing section were bastards...

But you are getting the same advice here: don't wear anything you're not part of, don't wear things that don't have a meaning for you and I repeat: don't buy things with languages you can't read.
