Which of these 2 jackets looks better on me ?

Hi

I wanted to add a suede jacket to my wardrobe so I got one made by Temple of Jawnz some time back. The TOJ jacket is one with snuff suede with buttons.

Last week, I bought a Tom Ford suede jacket from the B&S in the TF bonanza which arrived today. The TF one is one with dark brown suede and zip front.

I have no requirement of 2 suede jackets. So one has to go.

Please share your thoughts as to which one should I keep. Basically in which one do I look better.

I like the zippered one better (The TF). It has cleaner lines to my eye.

Shame the bottom of the jackets are not done up.

I am not sure how you manage that with a zip either.

I like the ToJ way better. The TF makes you look portly due to its shortness, you look a lot leaner in the ToJ.

I don't think they look similar at all. I'd go so far as to say they look different enough to both have room in your closet! I'd keep both of them. That being said, if I had to choose one it would be the TF as I have the same one on the way to me at the moment

The length of the TF one makes you look chunky.

FFS do them up from the bottom, they don't look right splayed out like that.

The darker one looks better to me. I live in Houston where its dry most of the time aside from our tropical showers, and I would still be nervous of owning a suede jacket and getting caught in the rain.

You're wrong. The buttoned bomber is cut to be worn open at the bottom. And it looks much better that way.

ToJ is way way better, not digging TF jacket. Glad i didn't purchase it.

Thank you all for your comments and thoughts.

I personally like the color and design of the ToJ one better in the pics above. In reality I dont really like the color of the snuff suede. I always feel it is a little too orangy/rusty.

However, the quality of the suede and the detailing on the TF jacket is in a different league.

I prefer the cut and the fit of the ToJ. The TF feels a little blousy in the midsection probably it has some scope to expand due to the back design while ToJ is cut absolutely plain.
