Which Laundry Cycle?

Hey--
New laundry machine in the household that I don't know how to use. (An LG upright, LG WT1501CW)

I'm used to older ones and can't figure out what cycle will be gentlest on my clothes for routine washes.

What cycle do you use for OCBDs, polos, jeans, cords, T's, underwear, socks etc? There's a cold and a delicates (which I think can be set to use cold water) but they take 60 minutes...and there's a speed wash that takes 30 but I'm not sure if it is actually gentle.

Which laundry cycle do you use? How long do they usually take?

How do you prevent your clothes from getting frayed and faded?

I generally use cold water wash for 60 minutes for all of those to minimize shrinkage.

I also use the pre-wash setting in every load and throw in a scoop of Oxi Clean to clean armpit stains. Turn my shirts inside out.

As for fade/fraying prevention I don't do much, just don't use the dryer and then I hang dry. Socks/underwear I throw into the dryer though.
