Which jeans for summer?

I live in NYC and it gets too hot/humid to wear dark, raw denim in the summer. I guess i'll go for a lighter denim but haven't really looked at any yet, any ideas on a lighter current look? Maybe I should just start washing a pair of my raw jeans in a few months?

Hmm, I pretty much wear dark raw denim year round, and I imagine ppl in Japan do as well. If you really couldn't stand heavier weight denim you could try wearing lighter jeans like Bootcut OLAs.

Rag & Bone are pretty lightweight. I got a pair of RB14 for the Texas summers.

So just go lighter weight and not lighter in color? My thinking is that the dark is going to absorb more heat and I'm going to sweat bullets. I'm not really into the lighter looking denim but I'm sure there's a decent looking pair somewhere, no?

You should be fine with lighter weight denim. While you'll certainly be cooler with linen slacks or the like, you're not really going to be noticably cooler with light blue jeans rather than dark, in my experience.

Nudie Slim Jim Drys for milder days. Incotex cotton/linen khakis for hotter days.
