Which jeans are the slubbiest? I've come to the conclusion that I prefer slubby jeans - the slubbier the better. Right now the slubbiest pair I have are a pair of R&B, so I find myself wearing those the most. But for all you jeans connoisseurs out there, what is your slubbiest pair of jeans? And I'm not talking about this kind of slubby: http://www.slubby.com

I think the consensus is either the PBJ AI-001 or the Oni Shoai. You can grab either at BiG, though you pay a high price for them.

It's how hairy, or imperfect the texture of the jeans are. My SD's were really hairy, switched to Dior's and they aren't slubby in the least. I don't have a preference one way or the other.

PBJ and Oni, KMW AWA, Eternal 868/872. I hear some samurai stuff is slubby as well, but I've never handled any.

R&B is pretty far below any of the above when it comes to slub. I actually don't remember my R&B's being slubby at all.

You pretty much have to go to a japanese brand to get slubby jeans(for the most part). I can't think of us or euro jeans with slubby denim. PBJs, Onis, Eternals, SDA, Samurai, Flat Head(not as much but still decently slubby). PBJs are pretty famous for being some of the slubbiest i like the hairy texture and look of my pbj005s a lot.

I've always considered the uneven distribution of indigo on ringspun denim to amount to the slubbiness of jeans. I read somewhere on Sufu that, believe it or not, it was actually derived from a Yiddish word having stemmed from some Jewish textile business, or something like that, but I can't remember the exact etymology.

i would vote for oni's for what i have seen......

have not touched pbj a01, sigh...should be very tough considering they are the 18.5oz version of 005s...

And the new samurai 21oz...hah, we will see.

for the sam 19oz, really didnt find much difference from the 17oz s5000.

Wow -- now that's slubby! Those jeans make my R&B's look like a baby's bottom. You're taking slubby to a ho nubba level!

my eternal 868s are by miles slubbier than my PBJs, they are stupidly slubby, incredible. Basically I see them as a poormans shoai, but hey they are still made with eternals crazy dye! and the fabric is just nuts.
