Im looking to get a jacket for every day use and which I hope will last me for a good couple of years. I am very much in the rain on a daily basis and need something breathable and durable.
I was looking at barbour jackets
http://www.barbourbymail.co.uk/Mens-Barbour-Aberford-Quilted-Jacket.html

then I stumbled upon buberry ones for which the link is given here
http://uk.burberry.com/store/menswear/quilts-puffers/london/prod-38778261-military-quilted-blouson/

and I was wondering why is the burberry £500 more? Is it any better in keeping you dry. I assume you are paying for the name?

Are other barbour jackets extremely good for the outdoors? are they much better then everyone else?
